What is There When There is Nothing

What is There When There is Nothing

Caught in the present, aware of the emptiness that surrounds us. Mindlessly taking in breaths of air, expanding our lungs. Thoughts of stillness and movement, growth and decay creep into our daily lives through motions of light.

This photo series captures the elements of growth and decay through a lens of reflection, light, and shadow. We often look over the normalcy within our lives. However, in these photos I have cast attention to the unseen nature that is hiding right before us. This work reminds us that there is a presence apparent even when it feels like absence.
